• CCSS.NCEX.Math.Content.5.NF.A - Develop an understanding of addition with fractions.

  • CCSS.NCEX.Math.Content.5.NF.A.1 - Identify whole, half, fourth and third using concrete models (use continuous and discrete items).
  • CCSS.NCEX.Math.Content.5.NF.A.2 - Use symbolic representation for each fractional part.
  • CCSS.NCEX.Math.Content.5.NF.A.3 - Understand a set must be divided into equal parts of the whole and when reassembled recreates the whole using a model.
  • CCSS.NCEX.Math.Content.5.NF.A.4 - Add fractions with like denominators to make a whole (halves, thirds, fourths).
