Course DescriptionDiscover how to provide medical care for patients of all ages in the pre-hospital environment. Learn emergency medical systems and the roles and responsibilities of the emergency medical responder in the pre-hospital setting. Establish an introductory understanding of anatomy and physiology related to medical and traumatic emergencies. Gain the knowledge, skills, and industry credentials for careers in the Emergency Medical Technology pathway. *Per the NCOEMS and NCDPI education plan, this course is limited to 20 students per teacher. *Per the NCOEMS candidate handbook and education program requirements, students must be 17 years of age on or before the official end date of the course.
