Course DescriptionThis locally-developed course includes curricula for the maritime industry from the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). Course content includes competency-based modules, case histories, step-by-step instructional outlines, and trade terminology. The curricula and corresponding NCCER assessments provide trainees with globally portable credentials and maritime-specific knowledge to advance careers in the industry. Students gain an understanding of the maritime industry and maritime pipefitting trades. Skills are gained in pipefitting, hand and power tools, welding safety, oxyfuel cutting, and base metal preparation.
