Course DescriptionThis course is designed for students to develop basic carpentry terminology and technical aspects of carpentry with emphasis on the development of introductory skills to include orientation to the trade, building materials, fasteners, and adhesives, hand and power tools, reading construction drawings, specifications, and layouts, floor system construction procedures, wall systems, and basic stair layout. English language arts and mathematics are reinforced. *Due to potentially hazardous processes and equipment a maximum enrollment of 20 is recommended.
