Course DescriptionAdapted from the NC Division of Health Service Regulation, this course is designed to assist future healthcare professionals understand the unique physical and psychological changes related to aging. Healthcare strategies to meet the needs of the aging population will be addressed. HN43 Nursing Fundamentals and Practicum is recommended as good preparation for this course. However, students may take HN44 Fundamentals of Gerontology before or after HN43 Nursing Fundamentals and Practicum. Clinical is optional for this course. *Course enrollment limited to 20 to ensure safety in laboratory settings.
