Proctored Environment Required	Yes Exam can be given at students home with live computer proctor, computer-based training center, or at school with a proctor. Teacher with test training but not teacher of record may proctor exam.
Test Site Options and Requirements	Students will need to be in a classroom at the school with a proctor who is not the teacher of record. Students will need computers to test. Students may also take the exam with a live proctor at home.
Testing Environment Requirements	If students test at home they will need a camera for the live proctor. Students are required to show a picture ID that is in date.

Directory Notes	Students must be 16 years of age to take the course. Students must graduate from high school within 12 months of course completion to receive a valid credential. Once the student graduates from high school, the teacher will need to send documentation to NHA to verify student has graduated which will release the credential. It is highly recommended that the student have the BLS credential particularly if the clinical site requires BLS.

G.S.§115C-81.45(a) requires classes (silent on exams) to be conducted in English "[e]xcept when a board authorizes teaching in a foreign language to comply with federal law."
