Course DescriptionThis course is an introduction to the Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics Pathway. Students will be introduced to materials handling equipment and information technology tools used to move, store, control, and protect products in today's modern warehouses and distribution centers. The five study units included in the content are concepts of warehousing and material logistics, movement, storage, control, and protection. This foundational course prepares students to move into further study of warehousing and supply chain distribution. This course uses the Fundamental of Warehousing and Distribution, Volume 1 from MHI.
