The Cisco Certified Support Technician – Cybersecurity credential is part of a structured, industry-recognized pathway that supports skill development and career progression in cybersecurity and IT support. It validates foundational knowledge in network security, troubleshooting, and threat protection, making it a valuable entry-level certification for those pursuing cybersecurity roles. This credential also complements postsecondary education, as the skills and concepts align closely with college coursework in cybersecurity, information technology, and network administration. Learners can continue building on this foundation by pursuing advanced Cisco credentials, such as CCNA Security or Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate, and further onto professional certifications like Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH). This progression provides a clear roadmap for success in both higher education and cybersecurity careers.
