To protect the integrity of the test, and for scores to be valid, everything must be put away. No paper, pencils, or cellphones on a student's desk while testing. Testing Environment Requirements	Adobe Animate (Live-in-the-Application / LITA) The exam can be delivered with the Compass for Windows, Compass for Mac, or Compass Cloud delivery systems. Compass for Windows and Compass for Mac run natively/locally and require the Adobe software to be installed for LITA delivery. Compass Cloud also delivers Adobe LITA, but does so in a virtual environment via browser and does not require workstations to have the Adobe software installed.
Exam Time Allotment	70 minutes (approx. 20 min for admin tasks + 50 min for standard exam session)
Exam Passing Requirement	700 on the scoring scale for the specified exam
Retakes	Yes If a Test Candidate fails their first attempt, there is one-day waiting period for retaking the failed exam a second time. One day is defined as 24 hours after the exam was first started. If a Test Candidate does not pass the exam the second time, the Test Candidate must wait for a period of at least five calendar days from the date of their last attempt to retake the exam a third or any subsequent time. This policy applies to both voucher-based and site-license-based Certiport centers. All original vouchers must be used prior to their expiration dates, without exception. Retake vouchers must be used within 60 days of the initial failed exam. If a retake was purchased, the retake voucher is sent by email after a failed exam. Test results found to be in violation of this retake policy will result in the Test Candidate not being awarded the attempted credential, regardless of score. * Must repurchase a voucher (if not purchased as a part of a discounted bundle) 24-hour waiting time between attempt one and two, then five days between additional attempts.

G.S.§115C-81.45(a) requires classes (silent on exams) to be conducted in English "[e]xcept when a board authorizes teaching in a foreign language to comply with federal law."
