For online testing of North Carolina Annual Testing Program and CTE High School State Summative Assessments in 2022-23, NCTest is required. Desktop and laptop computers are required to access NCTest through the installation of the new NCTest Secure Browser. Chromebooks with the NCTest Chrome App are supported with special restrictions. iPads are supported with restrictions and access via the NCTest iPad app. The NCTest Secure Browser for desktop/laptop computers, is available through PSU Test Coordinators with access to the TNN (Testing News Network). CTE users may access the Secure Browser here.

For online testing of CTE State Summative Assessments and North Carolina Testing Program Assessments in 2015-16, NCTest is required. Access to NCTest requires the installation and use of Chrome browser and the NCTest Chrome App for desktop and laptop computers running Microsoft Windows and Apple OS X. Chromebooks with the NCTest Chrome App are supported with special restrictions. iPads are supported with restrictions and access via the NCTest iPad app

NCTest v5

For online testing in 2014-15, options for NCTest includes a secure browser for Microsoft Windows and Apple OS X. and as native apps for iPad and Android. Chromebooks are supported with special restrictions. Optional use of Chrome for browser with NCTest Chrome App for Chromebooks, Windows, and Macintosh is also avaible.

For online testing in 2013-14, client side of version 4 of NCTest includes a secure browser for Microsoft Windows and Apple OS X. and as native apps for iPad and Android. Chromebooks are supported with special restrictions.
