| Course Description | Discover how to provide medical care for patients of all ages in the pre-hospital environment. Learn emergency medical systems, relevant skills, roles, and responsibilities of the emergency medical technician in the pre-hospital setting. Understand anatomy and physiology related to medical and traumatic emergencies. Gain the knowledge, skills, and industry credentials for careers in the Emergency Medical Technology pathway. *Per the NCOEMS and NCDPI education plan, this course is limited to 16 students per teacher. *Per the NCOEMS candidate handbook and education program requirements, students must be 17 years of age on or before the official end date of the course. |
